My name is Daniëlle Dominicus, 42 years old. When I was in high school, I participated in debate tournaments and was part of the Model European Parliament (MEP). Through MEP, I was also delegated to Italy. That was my first time abroad. Fake news was still called propaganda at the time, but climate change was already an issue.

Four years ago, my husband and I built a new house for us and our three daughters. That was a fantastic project. We have 25 solar panels and we used flax for insulation. We tried to build locally and renewably as much as possible.
I have been a chemistry teacher since 2005. For the last 9 years I have been teaching older students (16 to 18 years old) and also the subject Research and Design. I think it is a wonderful profession where you get critical thinkers in front of you, and I would like to encourage that. I am happy to chaperone the students during their stay in the Netherlands. I think living below sea level makes our country an interesting place to visit and I am happy to show you the benefits and downside of it.
