NCL and NAHS – Preserving our Past

The Nederland Area Historical Society has formed an official partnership with the Nederland Community Library and with grant funding acquired by NAHS, will be working with an archival professional to inventory and digitize the Historical Society’s collection with the end goal of making it available to the public.

The NAHS collection contains a variety of object categories such as prints, photographs, newspapers, manuscripts, artworks, books, and historical artifacts.

This February 16-18, the Library will host the first phase of this project, by conducting an initial assessment and organization of the collection at the Library. While this project is closed to the general public, arrangements can be made with members of the Historical Society to meet and discuss items or any aspect of this large-scale digitization project.
