Eclipse Talk

Eclipse Talk (all ages)
Tuesday, August 15, at 7 pm

A solar eclipse is coming. Learn about the Sun, how eclipses happen and why we don’t have a total solar eclipse every month with John Williams. In this interactive talk, we’ll explore these questions and learn why Earth is the only place in the solar system where this special alignment happens. We’ll also learn more about this particular eclipse.

John Williams is a NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador. He is an avid amateur astronomer, interested in all things space. Some would even say he’s a bit spacey. He is a long-time Coal Creek Canyon resident and when he’s not trying to look up into the sky, he’s creating websites (usually with a science bent), taking photos and writing about science.
