Flyer for Historic Grave Identifications event

Lure and Lore of a Colorado Mountain Town

with Silvia Pettem

Sunday, August 23, 4 pm

Caribou, at nearly 10,000 feet in western Boulder County, once was a thriving silver mining town. Its history lives on with the remains of those buried in the Caribou Cemetery, now quiet and sadly neglected. The Friends of Caribou Cemetery, with the Nederland Historic Society, have been working to preserve the site, identify the graves, and return dignity and respect to the cemetery’s men, women, and children.
