Our check out period is 3 weeks.  Patrons may renew an item twice for a three-week period unless there is a hold on the item.

Patrons may check out up to 25 items in each three-week period and/or up to 8 Audio Books at a time.  Patrons may not check out all the materials in a particular subject area.

Non-resident library card holders may check-out up to 2 items at a time and may not be eligible to borrow certain library materials.

Reference Books

Our reference books are for in house use only.

Reserves

How do I reserve a book?  You can call us at 303-258-1101, come in and request the item, or sign into your account on this web site and place a request.

Resident card holders may request a hold on up to ten items at a time.  Non-resident card holders may request a hold on up to two items at a time. When an item becomes available, library staff will notify the patron by telephone or e-mail.  Requested items are kept at the circulation desk for seven days after the member has been notified.

Returns

Materials can be returned to the library during library hours or to the outside book drop.

Replacement

What if I have to replace a lost or damaged book?  Please contact the Library with the title of the book and we will advise you of the replacement cost.

Overdue Limit

Items that are 45 days overdue will automatically generate a fine for the cost of the item in the patron’s account.  Unpaid fines may affect the patron’s ability to place holds and/or check out items.  The fine is cleared from the patron’s account once the overdue item is returned or the fine is paid.

InterLibrary Loans

When materials are unavailable at the Nederland Community Library, patrons may request an InterLibrary Loan.  A local resident library card in good standing is required to be eligible for an InterLibrary Loan.  There is no charge for an Interlibrary Loan.  Click here  to access InterLibrary Loan instructions.
